ParticipantRe: Neff Dishwsher gone wierd
Thanks.
Will try tonight again. Does it drain from a certain part of the base. What i mean is can you get a container underneath to catch all of the water?
Do the side panels come off easily?
Def think it worth trying to fix just had a look and a similar model is about £450!

ParticipantRe: Neff Dishwsher gone wierd
it stopped mid cycle again.
so basically make sure the cap to the salt chamber is done up correctly and hasn’t worked loose?
What steps should i follow now if the base keeps flooding?
Or
Call an engineer?
Am happy to have a go at checking the obvious before i call someone out.
Thanks again. Great help.

the salt chamber (where i put the salt in) is full of water and salt and has been for ages. could this be causing the problem then?
should the chamber just be full of salt and no water?
thanks

thanks very much for your help.
Have drained the machine. Its integrated and had great fun getting it out.
Have got it running again now.
Is there any chance this is a one off or am i looking at getting a new machine.
I did accidently spill some salt in the machine while topping it up – i did read somewhere this can cause leaks ??
I have no luck with dish washers 😀
Thanks again.

Me again. sorry guys.
put the dishwasher on a couple of days ago and it works perfectly not a drip of water left in the base. clean as a whistle.
woke up this morning and the base is full again. When i run the reset it won’t empty which must indicate a blockage somewhere.
question: once i’ve unblocked it again can i run the dishwasher without the non return value in? is this safe?
I am trying to establish where the block is occuring.
Can i get right into to where the pump is and where the waste pipe comes off the machine. Getting to the pump by taking the cover off doesn’t allow full access to it to clean it out?
Someone did say it could be the pump on its way out. Would this be the case as it works perfectly well sometimes and i know once i have unblocked it the pump will drain the water easily?
Please help.

Hi thanks for the reply.
I have removed the cover to the pump and obviously the non return value.
This is how i am unblocking it each time.
What do you suggest to try next as it keeps getting blocked?
Thanks

Hi me again.
I had to do the same thing again as it was infact blocked.
There must be something getting stuck in the waste pipe. When i unblock it there doesn’t seem to be anything obvious coming out in the dishwasher.
I couldn’t blow down the waste pipe any harder as i nearly passed out.
How easy it to gain access to the pump and the waste pipe inside the dishwasher?
Don’t really fancy pulling the whole thing out.
Thanks again.

i have tried a reset and you can hear the pump come on. when i opened the dishwasher back up the level was the same.
should it empty it out completely? or would it still leave some water in the base. i suppose i’ll find out on the next wash if theres a blockage again.
thanks again.

ParticipantRe: Bosch/Neff Not Emptying
thanks.
i’ll give it another cycle and keep an eye on the level.
the dishes were very clean unlike the last time there was a blockage. i suppose this would indicate that it was able to empty the waste water during the cycle.
the water level is not above the top of the round filter thing but the water does cover the entire base of inside the dishwasher.

Hi,
sorry to bother everyone again.
I have had this problem once more since my last post. I went through the same procedure of removing the non return valve and then blowing down the waste pipe (nice). I didn’t notice any large bits of depris in the water after this. I fitted it all back together and it worked great.
I have noticed the other morning water that had not completely drained out. I ignored this as it was not alot. Then this morning it has done the same thing but its a little bit more this time. It is no where near the same level it was when i had the original problem.
I am quite happy to keep blowing down the waste pipe but doing it too often could damage my helath 🙂
Has any got any recommendations on how to clear this problem up for good.
Also i do clean off any bits of food before i put stuff in the dishwasher.
Thanks
Paul

ParticipantRe: Bosch/Neff Not Emptying
okay cheers.
just one last thing
was i correct in thinking as it emptied out correctly and i heard it go down the waste pipe the non return value must be positioned correctly.
I made sure the round dangerly bit went in first.
does it matter which it is facing?
cheers

ParticipantRe: Bosch/Neff Not Emptying
Thanks i will take a look at the link.
So basically because it emptied out correctly and i heard it go down the waste pipe the non return value must be positioned correctly?
I had bought some Oust dishwasher cleaner but have not bothered using it yet? Do you recommend it or is this just for the inside of the machine?
Thanks again.
