Re: Hotpoint CTD40g not heating up

So there isn’t genuine or non genuine parts?

Sorry for being dummy but are you saying go for the one with the heater as well?

    This is the one

I have noticed on the ukwhitegoods website there are two thermostat kits for different serial numbers. My serial is 706120045.

    Hi guys,

Could anyone help me with this please?

    Thanks

    Hi,

I want to check the circulating pump to see if it is seized.

Would it be possible for someone to tell me how to access this pump?

    Thanks for your help.

    Re: Need some technical help.

    Thanks.

I was kinda of hoping its the common problem with the pcb where you can resolder it yourself.

I know the pcb is behind the buttons. Does it just clip out and then the pcb is inside the plastic container?

    Cheers

Re: The cleaning problems continue – Bosch

    I might be getting somewhere.

The salt chamber is getting very low now. The rinse aid is also very low almost empty.

Just running the dishwasher on the first program that heats the water to 35 degrees without any detergent resulted in clear glasses and no residue. Running it with the normal amount of detergent (as guided by the book) results in white residue on everything.

I have just put it through again but this time just put a very little amount of detergent in the dispenser. The result was sparkling glasses.

Now these tests aren’t over a long period of time so it might be just a fluke.

Could it be detergent left on everything. How much should you use? Could it be the water not heating up to right temp to dissolve all of the detergent?

If this goes well I will try the next program (55 degrees) to see how that gets on.

Sorry if I sound a bit to enthusiastic about a dishwasher 😀

Re: The cleaning problems continue – Bosch

    Thanks I will check.

It seems to be fine on the fist programme. The icon just has two arrows on it. I assume it is an eco wash of some type. Not sure what the difference is.

The other 3 washes have the problem.

I have read the faq but am still unable to diagnose the problem.

    Thanks

Re: The cleaning problems continue – Bosch

    Hi,

I have tried lowering the rinse aid levels but the problem is still happening. it was probably even worse when I lowered the rinse aid.

The last wash it had actually baked a residue onto the contents. The glasses felt very rough.

Anyone have any ideas what to try next. I have read there is a chamber somewhere that should be cleaned out.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Re: The cleaning problems continue – Bosch

    Hi,

There are no stains around the salt cap. When the problem occurs there is often a white reside left on the lower part of the inside of the door and on the base. Not a great deal and it just rinses off with water.

I will try lowering the rinse aid level to 3.

    Thanks

Re: The cleaning problems continue – Bosch

    Hi,
    My conclusions so far are.
Its not detergent because I have tried a cycle without detergent and it still did it.
Its in the drying phase as the basic cycle without this is fine.
the residue rinses off cutlery under a tap.
It does it probably every couple of washes.
Knives and forks are left streaky as well.

When it cleans properly it cleans perfectly.

Any help would be great as have been trying to solve this problem for ages.

Re: The cleaning problems continue – Bosch

    Hi guys.

    Sorry for another reply.

I thought I had this sorted.

I am now using all Finish products. Salt, Rinse aid. Powder detergent.

I also ran a finish cleaner through it.

Every so often the drying phase cycle leaves either a white residue on everything. Can anyone suggest something to try?

Filters have been cleaned. spray arms have also been checked.

Should the salt chamber always be full?

    Thanks

    Re: Neff Dishwsher gone wierd

    Just a quick update.

After leaving it to dry out and a bit of hair dryer treatment the dishwasher is working perfectly.

It looks like it was the collar on the salt chamber allowing water to run into the base.

Thanks for everyones help. Saved me the price of an engineer.

    Re: Neff Dishwsher gone wierd

is it worth leaving it to dry out a bit?

I did use a hair dryer with my previous dishwasher??

Due to the way the pipes were connected i tilted the machine front to back to allow the water to drain out. I did this the other day and it didn’t do it any harm.

I’ll let you know how it goes.

    Thanks

    Re: Neff Dishwsher gone wierd

    Hi guys,

Just tried the dishwasher. For some reason it can empty out by doing the reset. Works fine the pump whirls and the water empties.

When i start the wash program about two minutes into it the dishwasher now trips my electricity out.

Could this be a case of water has got in somewhere it shouldn’t have?

    Has anyone got any recommendations?

    Thanks again

    Re: Neff Dishwsher gone wierd

    Hi,

I checked the collar to the salt chamber and it was really loose so water could have easily got into the base from there. I have now done it up as hard as i can by hand.

I have drained the base and have checked that the dishwasher empty’s correctly which it does.

Wasn’t brave enough to try a wash tonight as its late and i don’t think i could handle it not working after the effort to get the thing back i and mopping up all the water. I’ll give it a go tomorrow night.

    Thanks for your help everyone.

    Sorry its a S5443X1GB/29 neff.

I am trying to solve a leak as water is getting to the base somehow.

Was just wondering if their was any documentation regarding access to the dishwasher.
