    Unfortunately, it was my wife that first noticed it was not doing the job and switched it on and off a few times .. The light stays on now, and the rinse light, regardless of what program you select. She seems to think it was flashing twice, then repeat, but not sure, hence if there was a way of running a diagnostics, we could return to the initial halt-state ?

    Hi thanks, for that, unfortunately I have already removed and tested the diaphragm switch, and against all good sense, manually activated the micro-switch when the machine was running, even allowing 30 seconds in-case there is some sort of delay sequence in the cycle.

    Is there some way of getting the machine to run a diagnostics check to get the start button light to flash an error code ?

    Could it be something wrong with the selector dial ? Can I check that ?
