Re: Help needed to fit spare part to Whirlpool FDW60

    Hi ladom

You’re quite right it’s not a Whirlpool (it’s a badged Hotpoint made by Indesit I believe). Please excuse that slip as I’m also running another problem with a Whirpool 1200/1 – door lock. It’s been a bad winter….

Machine now down on it’s left side, thanks. I hope no harm has come of that…

Re mice: that’s the first thing I though of but I’ve already discounted it. I’m long enough in the tooth to recognise mice infestation, however small, having dealt with many over the years. I’ve also made a thorough check for droppings in and outside the machine and on the overflow/drip tray. Can never be 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} certain but I will be taking precautions. To be honest it only looks like it’s been eaten away. Still baffled by that…

So this rubber/plastic ‘shroud’ screws directly in to the lower spray arm connector. Thanks again. I thought there might be some intermediate connector between the two which prompted me to ask about removal- like I say, it’s a tough old fit and I don’t want to break anything.

    Cheers

    Jules
