Yes,
I believe its fixed as i have not had to defrost it for about 3 weeks.
The problem is with the evaporator thermistor. I found the problem after banging my head against the F/F for about 2 weeks. It cost about £20 for a new part, but you might want to get a expert to fit it in.
I had 3 F/F engineers that came to the house to fault find the problem. But none were any good, they tried to sell me a new compressor (£200+ for the work), a new F/F one ever said their was an internal gas leak.

it only takes less then 20 minutes to change over the part so do not expect to pay more than £60 in total for the work.
