Hi Bryan. Yes. It’s a small ribbed open metal box with 2 ice trays in there. There’s no flap on the front. The box ices up to cool the fridge. The thermostat sensor just fixes to the box. This also gets covered by frost. Cheers karl.

Cheers guys, this is really helping. Still not sure which thermostat i need. I should be able to adapt most to fit in. There’s plenty of space where it fixes in. Can email pics of fridge and location if it helps. Karl

Hi. Yes that’s right. The stat sits in the top of the ice box. The phile wraps around the side of the ice box and fixes to the underside. The vx0 looks like it could be made to fit. But you don’t think this will work. I’ll order the one you recommend the voltage is 110v. Will these stats be ok, or do I need an american model. Cheers karl
Ps mine is similar to the image. Much better condition. Slightly earlier. Wasn’t made with an ice box door.

Hi Bryan. I have switched her on again. Then tilted forward and gave a good bump down. No professional treatment I’m afraid. But the refrigerant is circulating well. Instantly got cold. The compressor seems very hot. Do you think that’s normal while the temperature is reached from warm. Shall test . Any problems, really appreciate you’d be ok servicing her. Cheers karl

Hi Bryan . Thanks for your reply. Am in Brighton Sussex. Don’t think there was a leak. Thought maybe a blockage? Not sure how to find someone to look at it. Karl
