Re: Indesit IWB5113 Washing Machine Flashing Lights after 5

I don’t know EMW – do you have their contact details by any chance? Many thanks again.

The very limited info that we have says check all wiring connections, then change the main pcb, then if that doesn’t work the display/facia pcb.

It may be covered under their five year parts warranty.

It is covered under the 5 year parts guarantee but Indesit still charge a fortune for an engineer callout – more than the machine is worth. I’ll check the display/facia pcb for any obvious errors. Failing that I will try to pick up a new control module cheap off ebay. My Hotpoint machine also failed with a main pcb fault. It seems Hotpoint and Indesit machines are built with really flaky electronics that fail just out of wararnty! I’ll never buy another machine from either brand! Thanks for your advice; much appreciated.

By “main pcb” do you mean the pcb in the Control Module with the service engineer’s diagnostic port? This module has a label with the code:215010229.01 SW:01.04.03 on it.

I have taken this board out, checked for faulty electrolytic capacitors (which I read is a common fault on some similar boards) and then put it back in again, but the same fault recurred. If it is a communications error, what else does this board communicate with? I presume it just communicates with the pcb on the front control control panel (which houses the push buttons and LEDs)?

I have connected and disconnected most connectors now but still to no avail. Thanks again for taking the trouble to try to help!

iadom wrote:Error codes on these are from top to bottom, that still looks to be 3+4 from the bottom, or F12. That is a communications error. If you are very lucky it may just be loose connections between the pcb’s. You need to remove the mains plug and squeeze the connector blocks on the circuit boards.

You have to bear in mind that Indesit have some of the weakest electronics on the market so it could be a faulty pcb.

Thanks for the quick reply Iadom. I have already removed the control board and checked all the connectors and found nothing obvious. I will have another go, but thanks again for your answer.
