    Re: Bissell ProHeat 2X 9200-E

Many thanks for responding. I have already purchased a new circuit board and brush motor (ordered but not arrived yet) and so I am not keen to pay another £75 to return the cleaner to Bissell – it’s a pity I did not know about their repair service earlier.

I will fit the motor when it arrives and see if that fixes the problem. I am still concerned as to why the service manual for the 9200E states that the output voltage of the circuit board should be 250V DC when the motor currently in the cleaner has a plate stating it is 250V AC, 50Hz. The circuit diagram in the service manual (yes it is for the 9000E) shows a direct connection to the brush motor (via the micro switch). I have asked Bissell for advice on this matter but they have failed to respond.

I have a further query. The service manual for the 9200E states that the output of the circuit board is 240V DC (direct current) and yet the wires feed direct to the brush motor (via the brush micro switch) and, moreover, the motor ID plate states that it is a 250V AC 50Hz motor. Surely the output from the circuit board cannot possibly be DC.
