I do not have a ball or block of ice, Just like a covering of ice that you would expect to melt when the fridge defrosts (it never does now)
the only solid ice is as if it starts to defrost a a run of water freeze’s near the drainage channel.

no problem with door seals and fridge does not ice up any more than usual.

we have fully defrosted the freezer about one a year at most frequent and maybe only about 5 times since 2003.

what does BER mean.

so is the thermostat not faulty at all?
