    Ok, accepted… but does anyone know where I can get a parts diagram from?

    If it is is the Carbon brushes that are worn, then it’s a 10 minute repair once you have replacement parts to fit… and if you’re half-way competent. Costs under £15 as a DIY job

    Could be from the Carbon brushes’ holders… my Hotpoint WM53 stopped working on the weekend, turned out to be the brushes had overheated and melted the plastic holders… have ordered more but would like to know why the got so hot in the first place.

    Sponged out the water, cleaned all the “bottom part” filters etc… tried it again and still won’t drain.

    The unit is built in… and it came with the house, so I don’t have any info on it at all.

    I am proficient with tools etc, just need a bit of info on where to look etc… do I need to remove the unit from its fittings to get at the drain pump to check that?

    PS no local service people registered in my area, and the MFI website if absolutely useless…
