Hence the “where do I know that name from” line.

ParticipantRe: Changing the heating element in Indesit.
I appear to have two log-ins. Here’s the other thread.

I know I had trouble registering initially and had to do it again.

Found a suitable tool 🙂

I can see the element easy enough, but cannot reach the nut. What do you use?

ParticipantRe: Changing the heating element in Indesit.
I’ve just Googled and can’t find the slimline anywhere. I’ll spend more time on it should this be terminal.
Thanks for your help.

ParticipantRe: Changing the heating element in Indesit.
My model choice is down to the limited availability in 450mm integrated models. It looks identical inside to the Matsui, but has been a good machine. It’s a DI450. I know I should have posted that at the time, but that’s what happens when posting after a few ciders.
The element was discussed in a previous thread. There is no question that it needs replacing as it is split open.
If it turns out to be terminal, what would be the best brand in the low cost range?

ParticipantRe: My Electolux oven smokes like the fires of hell.
It is EOB21001X
kevin-heath
ParticipantSo do Electrolux let Focus sell sub-standard re-badged goods?
kevin-heath
ParticipantIt looks exactly the same as EOB51001X with the 3 control knobs except the right hand button has different functions on it – because of the lack of fan.
Do you think it’s simply crap build quality or something?
kevin-heath
ParticipantI’ll post the model number when I get home.
I was surprised that it wasn’t a fan oven too. It’s all I could get at short notice. My oven broke down on Christmas Eve and Focus was the only place I could get a take-away replacement.
It’s all a bit academic now though because the grill has already broken and I will be getting money back.
I have started another thread to get recommendations on what to replace it with.
kevin-heath
ParticipantYes done that.

ParticipantRe: Recommendation and advice please
Do excuse me.
It’s an under counter oven with separate hob. Hob does not need replacing. The place I bought the last one from called it a slot in.

ParticipantRe: My Electolux oven smokes like th efires of hell.
Yes that sort of helps.
Problem is this is a brand new oven. Only second use and was cleaned after first use.
There must be something wrong with the design for this to happen.

ParticipantRe: Matsui MFI45 dishwasher gone mad!
The dustman has already taken the Matsui – I just wanted to see the back of it (even though I have another one with a different name on the front).
