Thanks gents for your advice. For the benefit of others, here is my fix based on the above advice. I set the machine on quick 15 min wash and withdrew the dispenser drawer half an inch and observed the water flow. Both left and right flows were adequate but on final rinse, only a trickle entered the conditioner section.
Knowing the syphon wsa clean, I cut a 10 inch length of soft iron garden wire and with the aid of a mirror and torch, threaded it into the holes and pushed it in about 4 inches and moved it in and out. I then ran the quickwash again and observed a great deal of black mould and brown limescale enter the conditioner dispenser. I repeated the wire trick and quickwash and cleaned out the muck the syphon left behind.
Job done! It looks like the supply channel to the nozzles is clipped into place so I bet an engineer would know how to remove it for a more professional clean but not wanting to risk breaking off the lugs, I chose this option.Kickles

Thanks for the tip suedehead1. I worked out the heater circuit and metered for voltage drop across the heater for each programme. Sods law was that programme 3 on the replacement board (which I always use), did not switch but other programmes did. This was confirmed when returned to QER so the diswasher is now working minus “Eco” Prog.3 😆
Without the tip about the level switch blockages and the possible faulty QER repair, I would be back to the “Marigolds”!
Many thanks guys. 😆Kickles

Thanks for the tip. I have contacted QER who are happy to have the board back for testing once I have eliminated other possible problems such as the blockages mentioned in the article about E2 overfill error codes. Indeed both tubes were blocked in the sump and were easily cleared using a pipe (tobacco) cleaner.
With the crap removed from the sump and the black rubber pipes reconnected, I switched on with confidence. Alas, still no heat!
I disconnected the pipe to the pressure switch in the heater circuit and blew down the tube. Click went the switch and the meter showed a good closed circuit.
Question: Is there another switch in the circuit or do I not have enough water in the sump to apply enough pressure? The salt dispenser is ALWAYS full of water and I can not move the selector on the inside of the cabinet so could this be limiting water inflow?
Thanks for a great forum Gents!Kickles

After a couple of years ignoring the box next to the sink and using the “Marigolds” I decided to pay the price and buy a new pcb. I noted on a forum (maybe this one) that a company called QER were recommended as low cost alternative. I sent off my pcb for repair and was provided a replacement board with obviously newly soldered components. This has been duly fitted today and I now have 240v to the heater but it still won’t heat the water and complete the cycle!
The heater checks out at 25ohms and the cut out is not o/c.
The neutral from the heater cut out goes off to a pressure switch which has a rubber tube connected to somewhere like the water sump.
Since the pcb is guaranteed and tested I need ideas where to look next.
Help 🙁 🙁Kickles

Thanks for the quick response, Penguin. I have replaced the supressor, checked the soap dispenser and door switch along with the thermostat, element and safety cut out.
I assume that all that’s left is the pcb or have I missed something else?
Regards
