Impressive response and the hour is so late!

Is the switch panel ‘dumb’ in that it should mechanically latch on and off? I mean, there’s no electrical governance of this switch – no other failure preventing this switch from staying on?

Is the switch fairly easy to install oneself – power disconnection and obvious prerequisite?
