ParticipantThe button makes no noise when you push it, although if you hold it down for a while it beeps. But that still makes no difference. What’s PCB?

ParticipantThanks for the suggestion, Penguin. I’ve had a bit of trouble with the door getting stuck before so I suspected that initially. But I’ve had another fiddle with it and it doesn’t seem to make any difference.
Any other suggestions?

ParticipantRe: Diplomat door stuck
OK, thanks everyone for your comments. I have emerged victorious in the battle of the dishwasher! Decided I needed to get mediaeval on its ass – I gave it an almighty yank and the door flew open and I went flying across the room.
Doesn’t look like there’s anything actually wrong with it but I guess I’ll need to take a closer look at the latch.
Anyway, thanks again.

ParticipantRe: Diplomat door stuck
Thanks for the advice. The trouble is that because it’s an integrated dishwasher it’s very hard to shake it. I’m mostly just shaking the panel.
I can see some screws connecting the machine to the worktop above, but I can’t expose them without opening the door. Bit of a catch-22 situation.
Is there any reason why the door would lock under normal circumstances?
Thanks
