If you number them 1 2 3 4 from left to right then it’s 1 + 3 which are flashing. I’ve been trying to get it to kick into a cycle by turning it off and waiting for 5 mins then turning it back on again. All it does is fill up with water for 30 seconds then pump it out again and the lights 1 + 3 start flashing.

Thanks for your reply John. I hoped this wasn’t going to be the case. Is there a fool proof way of checking it’s the motor before I go out and book an engineer? Are you familiar with the error codes on this model?

    Thanks alot.

    Re: Indesit IDL705 S

Alright, update. I took a few bits off, poked around and took some wires off and put them back and checked the float switch was working. All good. I put the bottom back on, flipped it the right way up and turned the thing on. It started to pump water out. Great!! Then it started sucking some water in, or trying to anyway. Then it began pumping again and now is flashing 3H and 9H. At least the pump works though. Any ideas anyone? Anyone? What does 3H + 9H mean in error code language?

I’ve just taken the bottom off the bloody thing again and had another look. The impellor (I presume it’s the impellor, it’s attached just before the waste hose begins) is a little rusty. Could this be the problem? Otherwise could it be the solenoid? It’s taking on water so I don’t think it’s the solenoid.
