Re: Miele dishwasher G1022i not working flow meter problem

Thank you very much for the reply. I cleaned round the contacts etc and it worked for a couple of runs. I am planning to buy a replacement switch which I have found online but am worried it might be the impeller which is sticking. Is this likely? Perhaps there is no way to answer that! Thanks again.

Re: Any experience of these makes for oven, iduction hob, frid

Thanks for the input. I’m in Northern Ireland and all three have just arrived here. My worry was backup if anything went wrong. My gut says Bosch/Siemens/Neff but as these brands are new there are deals to be had so my wallet is saying different! But maybe I’ll stick with what I know.

Thanks for the reply. The drum still turns etc where it is run on the cold air setting – it’s just when I turn the dial to the to hot air settings it trips. I had hoped it would be the heater but looks like its not. Will need to look into a new one then I think 🙁

    Thanks again,

Sorry guys meant to ask – what are the Caple ones like. They seem a bit cheaper but are they reliable and good extractors. Thanks again.

    Thanks Guys,
There is an Elica guy who has started to sell locally – I live in Northern Ireland. I’ve also emailled about the Pando unit. Is Elica a respected brand? Certainly heard of de Dietrich – used to have one of their dishwashers but never heard of either Elica or Pando. Thanks again.

    Re: Bosch Eco-clean?

Thanks Don for the reply. We do need two ovens I think – for family gatherings etc. I would love a pyrolytic oven but they don’t make pyrolytic double ovens – due to safety issues probably. The Bosch Logixx pyro oven is about £1000 – if I add a second oven to match or even a stem combi its another £1000 approx. The Bosch Logixx double oven is £1000 but only has Eco-clean hence the question. But if amyone has any further suggestions re oven choice I’d really appreciate hearing your views. Thanks again.

    Re: Induction or gas hob?

    Hi Guys,
Thanks for all the great advice, and the benefit of all the previous research! Although I like the speed of the induction, gas is tried and tested. I’ve been checking our pans with a magnet, my wife thinks I’ve gone mad, and most are not induction compatible. So I think it’ll be gas. Does anyone have any experience of the glass on gas type or is the open burner style still the best? Thanks again.

Re: New ovens: pyrolytic and steam

    Hi,
Many thanks. I will look at the V-ZUG range but these might be outside my budget. My wife feels we need two ovens – we had a double oven before which came into use durng large family gatherings. However the double ovens do not seem to have the same features as single ones. Maybe one oven will be sufficient though.

Re: New ovens: pyrolytic and steam

Many thanks for the reply. I do think a pyrolytic oven is the way to go. Certainly will beat the scrubbing! I have been looking at both the Siemens and Bosch models which I think are built by the same company (as are Neff?).

I’d be interested to hear from anyone who has used a steam oven and anyone who has used the auto-cook functions on some of these models. Really we are loking for a primary oven which we will use everyday and a back-up for when we entertain. Many thanks again.
