    Hello.
just wondered if any of you might be able to help. Om sure this nrw dryer had reverse to prevent sheets rolling up into a ball. If it has its not working now. Its just spinning in same direction and bed sheets all tangled up.

    Any suggestions
    Thanks

    Hello.
    thanks Don for reply.
with a small family the dryer is on nearly every day.
The washing machine we have now is a 9kg indesit had it about 6 years and only needed one repair which was a new/refurbished drum on insurance in January this year. Its been a great washer. But next time it breaks down will consider buying a new one. Probably stick with 9kg because ive read bearings on 10kg+ not too good?

Hello all i thought id give update.

    Dryer…..
We have bitten the bullet and got a new dryer. The old one is not drying clothes properly taking long time and today a smell of burning rubber and mrs convince there was smoke but i couldnt see that.
anyway ordered 9kg beko condenser dryer off AO.com for £280 inc delivery comes on friday.
Will never buy a hoover dryer again. 7 years old and had to have repair 6 times.

I just hope the beko lasts 7 years but without need of repair.

Question is whether to insure it with D&G or not

    Good evening. Update for you.

The engineer bern out and replaced the drum which im surprised about because from my research i was under the impression they dont tend to replace drums and write it off.
He said that they recondition the drums so im kind of happy that theyve done their bit to recycle but also gutted ive not had a new machine.

    Thanks for all your help

Ive spent a couple of hours looking at the beko 9kg range. Really nice appliances
    £360 for top range aquatech

Would you say they better than hotpoint?

    Happy new year.

    Question about brands.
what is the most reliable brand in the lower budget market? If we replace the 9kg washer for another 9kg what is better than hotpoint?
is it worth paying extra to upgrade to bosch or Samsung.
ive ruled out the zanussi lindo300 ive watched a youtube video of someone operating the programs seems a right farce and the 40 cotton was 4 hours. Im looking more 2 hours.
Beko for the condenser i think

I think if they offer replacement washer weve decided on hotpoint activecare nm10 944 ww 9kg. It seems easy to use and wash programs decent and similar to our indesit.

probably limp the dryer on until it breaks the the beko 9kg with interior light is strong favourite or the hotpoint ultima s-line

I will let you know what happens when engineer comes out on monday 6th. He might change the whole drum. Ive read that sometimes they dont do that because sealed drums are about £150 plus labour but they might assume that D&G will be willing to pay for that bill. They keep doing that with the hoover dryer.
i dont need a new washer as such it does do a good job and been reliable for 6 years from new. I just read somewhere that when bearings go on a sealed drum they tend to write it off so im trying to do my research in advance so if they do write it off im not doing as borris johnson calls it dither and delay. I can say i want this particular washer as a replacement. And i can get done asap

Its definitely a toss of the coin between the hotpoint and beko dryers you have posted above. The hotpoint fire issue is pushing me towards the beko dryer.

As regards washing machine im lost. Proper torn as were to begin. The hotpoint isnt a must, it just seems logical with the programming weights and wash durations.
I very much like the beko aquatech and the zanussi lindo300 aquafall. I think im only considering zanussi becase they have a 10kg one on ao.com for £300. Normally they quite abit more money. End of the day ill probably have to wait to see if they write the current washer off and what they might offer in replacement they might only offer indesit/hotpoint in which way thats what will be happening.

Regards dryer i wont try to claim on insurance when it next breaks down cos after 6 times i have no faith in it. And they have refused to replace it they seem happy to just keep sending engineer every year to put new heater on it. Well i dont want it anymore so when it breaks it will be a new one. And ill have to decide whether to insure it or not.

Hi don thankyou for your reply.
when i said matching brands its not a must. I have been looking at the beko 9kg condenser dryer thats on sale at currys for £270 looks good with the light and reversible door. I have also been looking at the hotpoint 9kg ultima s-line at £310.
i think at regards dryers its only ever been hotpoint or beko. Not even considering hoover. End of the day a dryer is a dryer. Just want itvsimple and no fancy gadgets.

The washing machine is a similar principle. Easy to use. Probably only ever use cotton 40/60 wash. We tend to 2/3 to 3/4 fill the washer. A crammed full washer wont clean at best potential.
the steam and waterfall tech isnt a must. Just want an easy to use, reliable washer that will let you fill it and washvon most settings (i was almost sold on samsung eco bubble until i saw all the other programs only let you wash about 4kg. The idea of a 9kg washer is to be able to wash 7/8/9kg on most settings)
ive noticed the hotpoint nm10 944 has quite a few programs and allow 9kg on them also the programs times are spot on.
so from a wash load setting and wash duration time point of view the hotpoint has it in the bag. Whats holding me back is all this recall and bad press.

As terms of reliability is there a difference between hotpoint beko and zanussi.

Do you recommend i rule out zanussi due to parts? Cost of repairs wouldnt be a problem if i continue paying insurance
