    Re: indesit slimline dishwasher

Could it happens because the element is dirt or defective pulling more power/time running to make the water reach the right temperature consequently forcing the relay and melting it?

Same happens to me SPBAIN. After changed the relay, my dishwasher worked like a charm for 3 months.
Two weeks ago it starts clicking the solenoid for about 2 minutes until the relay melted again.
Now I am at the starting point again and have no clue why the relay is getting hot and melting.
    Please guys any suggestion?

If it’s any help, I’ve traced similar symtoms on my Indesit D41 to the 12v 10a relay on the board. Maplins do two similar relays with the same footprint (JM67X and YX97F), at about £2. I’ll get one tonight, to try – I’ll let you know if it works!

Replaced the heater relay with Maplins JM67X. Five minutes with asoldering iron, perfect fit physically, and the dishwasher works like new. Cost £1.31, compared to £50 for the board. I’m happy!

😀 After testing the element and theromstat and securing the NTC to the door firmly I figured the problem was down to the board. After following seahornet’s tip above I solved the problem by replacing the heater relay. Works like a charm! Thank you seahornet!! 😀
    Same for me.
Error code light 5 flashing and the element fail to heat in the Indesit DI450 dishwasher, just changed the relay by the JM67X £1.79 and it is working again.
    This forum rocks!!!
    Many thanks everybody, specially Seahornet.
    Very happy. 😀
