KeymasterThat’s a hard one.
Technically you’ve got a “reasonable” period to inspect and so on the goods and after that they are deemed as “accepted” legally, which is generally considered to be measured in days. Weeks and months later you really have lost the right to reject it on grounds of suitability etc, even if there was an error on the retailer or your part. You could try to fight it but probably the cost to do so would be far greater than the cost of the hood and, you’d be unlikely to succeed.
The current pandemic wouldn’t really have any bearing on the ability to inspect and, from Feb, that’s some weeks before the country went into lockdown on the 23rd March.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I really don’t think you’ve got much hope here. 🙁

KeymasterAll I can find on the NuttUno says it is that filter, the cheapest way to get that is this compatible one:
https://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/f325617-carbon-filter
Buying that in a pack isn’t any cheaper.

KeymasterI believe it’s this one:
https://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/08999614-hygena-cooker-hood-square-carbon-filter
But don’t buy it, if I remember in the morning, I’m pretty sure I found a pack of two that will work out cheaper that I’ll make available.

KeymasterSounds about right.
But without knowing what exact model it is and possibly the serial number, no way to find any parts for it.

KeymasterWithout knowing what it is, there’s really not much help anyone can give you I’m afraid.
Even someone onsite, if that info’s gone, they can’t find any spares reliably.

KeymasterYup.
And without that, you’ve got no hope as I’m sure you realise given that what you think it is, it’s not.
What it might be, I’ve got no idea. And, without knowing what it is you can’t see the layout or find any parts at all for it and loads of them look the same, but are most certainly not the same or have the same parts in them. Worse, some you need the serial number that was there as well to determine parts.

KeymasterNope, sorry a new one is the only option you have unless you fancy trying to hack something into it to fit. That will not be easy.
K.

KeymasterAfraid not, the part you need is obsolete now with no known alternatives. 🙁

KeymasterNope, only inside, left-hand wall of the fridge near the salad drawer.

KeymasterTrust nothing but the info on the rating plate in the fridge. Nothing.
Anything else and all bets are off.
The FAB32QAZ model is a twin compressor retro style fridge freezer from about 2009.
K.

KeymasterAre you sure that’s the correct model number that you have?
K.

KeymasterIt’s a dual compressor unit so each fridge and freezer work independently of one another.
The freezer is bog standard non-frost free so there’s not much to go wrong really. A thermostat and a compressor and that’s about it.
From what you say though I’d be thinking compressor and that’s not a thing you can change yourself.

KeymasterOddly and, it took me a few mins to work this out, the complete evaporator unit at the top is sold as one complete assembly that you can’t split down.
So the heater and any stats in there one or around the evaporator you can’t get as a spare part. 🙁

KeymasterOr if one was cynical, now may be a good time to bury bad news.
