    You’d hope.

But nobody will replace a tank in one, I expect, as my eyes water just thinking what Miele will charge for a complete tank. The bits they sell are bad enough!

Do you have an image of the door as it can come in one of five styles?

    That might resonate.

The general average the past few weeks for the fridge looks okay and the freezer is in the ballpark but there are a number of odd wild swings by the look of that.

It does have a metering tank behind the left side panel so it’s worth checking if that’s clear, no gunk or blockages in it.

Loads are made in Turkey, some Poland etc but you’d really need to look at each label to see the country of origin.

That is a very strange one and I doubt anyone has come across that circumstance before so there’s unlikely to be a quick and easy answer.

If I were to guess, from what you describe, I’d think it was some sort of mechanical issue in the refrigerant system but that is a best guess. If it were electronic I’d expect it to do a thing and stick with it if that makes sense.

That said, the sensors can cause all sorts of weird things to go on with those units but I can’t see how a power failure etc could cause one of those to fail.

So far as I know, other than some Rangemaster range cookers, there are none now made in the UK.

Pretty much all the “British” brands have been bought etc, by foreign owners.

You can often get the equivalent Liebherr models for less money.

Miele refrigeration is made for them by Liebherr, just saying.

That was the one I checked and it is that expensive valve I got being used on it.

Just to be sure as there are a few versions, what are the numbers after that model, it should have a /** where “**” is two digits?

They show it as a separate aqua stop valve on that model and it ain’t cheap, £85+ not cheap!! Which is, ehm, a bit sore I’ll say to be kind about it for a poxy inlet valve.

However, from what you describe I’d say it’s almost a sure thing that that valve is the problem.

Did you check the ventilation as it could be overheating, just a thought.
