They are pissing people off from what I hear on the grapevine, more and more each day seem to be very unhappy bunnies.

Not only that but NESN seem shit scared of them, but why? They can’t compete, can’t get staff and probably won’t now get any decent credit for an operation that size.
Wonder when they’ll all realise that we all paid more to do service?

No, Paul at DATA was pointing out the same from Wash-Vac as well just the other day, but then they all seem to be loosing money so maybe this is some way to try and claw back some more money.

I put it there to brighten the place up a bit that’s all, it’s not really there for anything else, so far there’s been a whole 19 clickthroughs on it so not exactly a very effective marketing tool.
The site has limited cabability for advertising TBH and I like it that way. For example, we can have a top banner ad and a couple of side banners and the spattering at the bottom and that’s about it. Of course I could get some funky scripts to do a “buy now” on the reviews amongst other things but I’m not going to do that. TBH there will probably not be any banner ads either, not that they bother me in the slightest, but for the revenue they generate it’s hardly worth the effort. You’ll also notice that the content of the site does not, or will not, contain any advertising at all other than people advertising work as otherwise it annoys the hell outta me never mind anyone else!
This is also the reason that the database is secured, so you guys don’t get spammed by some idiot spares or appliance supplier that thinks he’s a wide boy! 😉
I have said it may come to pass that it’s needed to give *something* to Li for hosting but that’s the only reason for it.

From this point onwards then, yes this can be easily done.
What is done about the people already here is open to debate but I do think that anyone should be given the chance to meet any criteria set. So debate away 😉

Replying to my own post, bad form hey I don’t care! 😉
Well end of the month (almost) and the story so far is:
We received 12768 page views since June 2003
Today is: 30/06/2003Not too shabby at all I think and it proves that people are looking at this site which is very encouraging indeed. In fact, we are getting quite a few refferals from Google etc from people looking for repairers, just though you all would like to keep informed.

All that I have recieved are now in place, come on guys you can see the format and you don’t even need a website to use this feature, it’s basically an e-roladex of repairers, that’s all. And, you never know, maybe you’ll get a call or two out it. 😉

Funnily enough we’ve had a few Servis machines do that, one on extended warranty and a spattering U/G, makes me wonder if there’s a problem like the old Candy’s with over-dosing. 🙄
Needless to say the said insurer was not happy when I insisted they pay for it if they wanted multiple visits, especially when they were no fault founds as well, which of course they don’t pay for do they!
