Re: Bosch KGU3200GB f/f – fridge not working.

OK further info – switched fridge back on over night and internal temp dropped from 21C (room temp) to 10C but no lower.

Also if I switch off super freeze then the freezer temp starts to rise in the freezer compartement from -18C to -15C according to the display on the front.

Mind you it doesn’t seem very cold in there and my digital thermometer says it’s only -3C.

Seem to remember when I first got it something similar happened (done under guarantee) and involved changing a solenoid and re-pressurising the refrigerant!

So apart from the PCB what else could it possibly be?

Reason I ask is at £116 for just the board (and it might not be….) it’s temping to buy a new similar model (this time Siemens KG32U123GB) for only £250 more.

Don’t suppose there is any diagnostic routine I can put the fridge in to give me some kind of additional clues as to what IT thinks isn’t working. (As you can do with other white goods?)

So to get the board out does the top come off or is it a remove the main door then the face plate comes off?

Got an enginner in yesterday and he said that it was a drainage problem. all he seemed to do was remove inside back panel from the freezer and remove the ice that had built up behind it with a hair dryer. freezer works fine now
hope this helps if you’re still having problems.

Yes I did the same about 3 weeks ago. Heavy build up of ice. Thawed it out and cleared all the drainage points.

Even checked the sensors to make sure none of them were open circuit.

It seems to work slightly better but it still doesnt take much for the temperature to rise pretty quickly.

Put a plate of warm rice in there last night for about 20 mins and then took it out again and the temp shot up to about -12C.

So still don’t think it is 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}.

    Re: AEG L16810 Not drying

Just to say thanks to the folks on here I now have a fully functional machine again.

Just to let you know that the Error code E72 help. “NTC sensor on drying condenser faulty.”

Well this was the only one I hadn’t tested and was thrown slightly as one of the previous posts had said that if it didn’t work on manual dry then it was unlikely to be a sensor fault.

Anyway went to check it and one of the wires came off in my hand.

One cut connector and two spade terminals later I am back in business.

Reason it went in the first place I reckon was the wiring harness was tight (the connector had been fed around the wrong way) and so the machine vibration had caused a lot of strain on the wire, hence the original intermittency of the problem.

    Thanks again guys ‘n’ gals

So does anyone have any idea which sensors I should be checking and where they are located?

    TIA

So it’s the electronics then by the sounds of it?

Well repairs@ gave no service engineer in my area (West London)

As I’m an electronics engineer by profession I’m fairly confident to give it a go myself with the approriate guidance (or ideally service manual).

(It’s just if it was compressors or refrigerant I would have given up!)

    Re: Bosch Fridge Freezer Problem

Nope, nothing on the Salad bin (in the fridge compartment) – nor either side or behind (totally removed the salad bin to check).

No writing of any desciption as far as I can see apart from ‘Halogen’ written on the fridge light! 🙂

However, I have found the manual and the stickers are on there.

Model No. KGU3200GB & FD number is FD7502.

So anyone any ideas what is wrong?
