Hi, thanks for the reply.
Hubby took the dryer top of, cleaned out some bits of fluff, wiggled a few bits and mopped up all the water from the bottom of the casing. Put a load of drying on and it seemed to be working as normal. No smell and a normal drying time.
However when it had finished the water container was still empty and we found that the water had gone into the bottom of the casing again.
If it is the pump that has gone, how much will it cost, is it easy to mend or will I be as well to ring hotpoint and let them do it under the 5 year parts warranty. I had a look on this site but couldn’t find the part.
