ParticipantDave, took the bushes out, plenty of length and no damage but quite stiff in the holders so cleaned all the dust out and made sure they were free and it seems to have cured the problem and all back to normal so fingers crossed. thanks again for the help.

Participanthi Dave, i haven’t checked the brushes but i shall, ive been working on the assumption that as the door lock light won’t come on its stopping the machine from starting, how would the motor brushes affect the the door light? is it a case of when it goes through its check routine it senses a fault?
many thanks for the reply and help

ParticipantRe: oven cabinet fan
Thanks for the reply Dave, it sounds like it could be the fan PCB board then, the fan itself is new so I’ll get a board and hopefully it’ll sort it.

It’s a double built in electric oven, everything works fine except the cabinet cooling fan.

ParticipantRe: oven cabinet fan
Thanks for the replies, it’s a built in belling double electric oven, the fan giving problems is the cabinet cooling fan, not the oven fan. Everything works ok on the oven just the cabinet fan struggles to run. I’m just trying to confirm the fan PCB board could cause this problem before I order a new one?
