It isn’t the main IC so fingers crossed shouldn’t need to be reprogrammed. Just need to know what the part number is but it doesn’t look promising at the moment.

Thanks Seamy Much appreciated mate. I did have my eyes on this but not even belling could confirm it was the replacement. Will give it a go anyhow. Regards, Liam.

Cheers Johnny, looks like i’ll have to go down that route then. Any reason as to why me giving it a big slam the first time 3 months ago worked?

    Re: Hotpoint WMAL

Sorry for bringing up this old post. But i have a problem witht he same machine!
Ok it is a fairly new washing amchine the WMAL6413 but it’s used in a school therefore they are not guaranteed.
On first visit after checking almost everything to no avail. I slammed the door in one ditch attempt to get the machien to work and VOILA! She worked! for two whole months?
Got a call again couple days ago to say she is playing up.
Went out and the machien had the exact same fault as before.

    Turn machine on,
    Close door.
Before even pressing start the door locks straight away with the door lock light. (stays static, not flashing) Will not let me open the door unless i pull the release strap. & the machine does absolutely nothing else.
-Checked Motor ( 3 phase no brushes)
-Checked wiring on everything, Board lock and motor. All seems fine.

Do you guys think it’s worth replacing the lock?
Problem is if it was just the standard lock i would of put a new one in but this certain lock C00285597 is hardly available anywhere and is a special order too.

    Thanks lads,

I ordered the 40004314 from whitegoods and got a 40004315 in the packet of the 40004314… do they cross reference as the same part?

That part number shows up as *Drum and Shaft* on a few different websites too, i think i’ll make some enquiries on that.

    Re: Part Numbers for Candy

    Thanks Jackal,

Sorry to be a pain, do you have the part number for the Inner Drum and Spider bolts too?
The one i took out has the spider welded onto the drum itself but it looks like candy have decided to change it.

    It’s strange as ransom spares list http://www.ransomspares.co.uk/parts/was … 122942.htm

this as a complete thing. If you’ve got the part number for the complete inner drum if possible i’d be more that grateful. Cheers

    Re: ATAG Cooker Fan Problem

Thanks for the reply Mike sorry it has taken me a while to respond. I actually saved the cooker! A cold weld by the name of JB Weld, it seems to have done the job.
It does seem liek a madhouse at times. I’ve only recently turned self employed and i swear customers were never so awkward!?
    Again, thanks for the reply.
    Liam
