Full range of carbon brushes available at http://www.homespare.com. All brushes are listed by manufacturer of motor and by oem. Site still being built and in the middle of a major upgrade but using the keyword search you can use any part number you may have to hand.

We also have a large stock of 161498b, which unofficially can be used in place of the other 2 as long as the tacho is changed.
Also we have 1604822 and 1604822a (with wiring kit) on special offer at very very good prices.

Interesting reading regarding the armatures. 161498b will replace all armatures provided that you change the tacho where required.

I must say that I have to take issue with Ken regarding ‘dodgy’ pattern parts.
Something to consider.
All pattern parts that we supply come with a 12 month guarantee, and considering that we have been in business for over 42 years, we can’t have sold that many.The reason that we are all in business in the first place is that the original equipment manufacturers products have gone wrong because of ‘dodgy’ components.
