Thanks. My parents have ordered the part with you and have been told 3-4 weeks from 13th May. So hopefully, they will get it within the next 2 weeks.

I am dubious about this part, as the picture only shows two wires coming from it, I appreciate I could be wrong, but the switch had about 8 wires, is this the correct switch?

Sadly the stat hasn’t done the trick, however whilst installing it I could test the main oven control switch, (the very left when oven is viewed from the front) it selects fan, main oven grill etc. This appears to be had it, can you give me the part number etc for this?

No problem using a multimetre just say what I need to test for (and roughly how to get at it) serial number is 611308297 model no 37521r and the type no is LS08-evo3c please could you give me a price and avail of the board??
Mental note to myself “Dont buy Indesit or Hotpoint again” ooops! the 3 main white goods in the Kitchen all fall into those brands!!!! 👿

On a scale of 1 to 10 how certain would you be?? and do you know if they have improved these boards?
I take it you will need the serial number etc to source me a new board, and presumably it is located at the top of the door, access gained from the back of the door?

Cheers Dave, It may sound like I’m a cheapstake but is fitting a stat that difficult??
I have repaired TV’s, Video’s, Mobile Phones, Car radio’s, Head gasket repairs on cars and most other mechanics on them too, I just have not done a cooker yet.
Don’t worry I wont hold you to it, if it all went belly up, I understand that some people would ask and not know what a screwdriver is!!!
I’ve had a look on this site but can’t find Electrolux stats, any Idea’s.

Hey guys, Sorry for the lack of info about the oven!! Duh I thought the model was a PREMIERE (as in ford FIESTA) damn I should stick with cars!!
Okay have the info needed now model is EK 5731 GR and the make is Electrolux.
Yes the temperature indicator light does go on and off, hence I suspected the stat, however I was not sure if maybe the dial may have been at fault.
Are stats expensive?? can they be a pig to fit??
