Thanks for your reply I did think maybe it was all a story myself

but after the tech guy told us that all small non fan ovens get too hot SWMBO went and orderd a E.Lux EOD5700AAK

She did so cos it has a fan in each oven and cost about the same as the JL oven I hope this will not prove to be the pain the JL one was

I just had a look at the John Lewis site using internet archive and it was on sale in 2009 so as you say not a new model

But what do you think about the overheating affecting all small non fan ovens that I was told
