    Re: hoover tumble dryer fault

Thank you very much for your kind advice, have placed the order via you link. What an unbelievible site this is, you guys advised me how to fix my dishwasher safely a couple of months ago and now my dryer. Sods law always dictates that domestic appliances always fail in 3’s so expect I’ll be back soon for help on my washing machine ! Best regards Bob

My humble thanks to you Eastlmark I think you may have sussed it.Am guessing the regeneration doser is the large plastic tank on the side cotaining a maze of waterways ? On close inspection I could see about 2″ of sludge in the bottom of it , the height of which corresponded with a rear outlet which has an overflow pipe in to the bloody tray at the bottom !looks like the water couldnt get past the sludge so it went out the overflow instead ? Took the tank off & flushed it out under the shower, refitted it & have crossed my fingers for a result.

Thanks for the info , have now got the top, back, both sides & the lower front off. Replaced the door seal this week as it felt a bit soggy & was under a tenner. Still getting a leak but I’ll be buggered if I can see where from. With a much stripped off as you can & laying a safe distance away with my big torch, I have spent several unhappy hours on the hard kitchen floor squinting away at it from every angle with it running & it just wont leak from anywhere. But I know as soon as I rebuild it & refit all the kitchen units back in place it will do about 3 loads until C3 comes up & the tray will be soggy again . Not sure what to do next, would love to get an engineer round to have a go but cannot get any time at all off work for the forseeable future so it looks like a few more hours on the tiles may be in store for me !
    Regards Bob
