The bit with the two white thin wires is closed (does not conduct) – it is a tiny black proby thing, is that the thermistor?
The bit with the red-brown-black connector has two covered prongy bits, is that the thermostat?

Kenwood KDW45X15 slimline dishwashert. I’ve a problem that sounds similar. Dishwasher performing poorly recently now it doesn’t complete a wash cycle, either stops or runs silently (no water circulation). Seems to fill and empty ok. Ran a diagnostic cycle got an E3, I wonder about the thermistor or heating bit? I got the sides off today, couldn’t see anything obvious, I felt some ambient heat from around the unit but still not working. Ready to start prodding with a multimeter or swapping cheap culprit parts out. I’d usually pull the plastic reservoir bit out and clean all the gunge out, but I didn’t like the look of the tube clamps. Can anyone advise me? Penguin45 you seem to be a guru of such matters!

    :clown: 😀

I’m all smiles. Whacking the matrix with a dishbrush handle with washing up liquid then vinegar inside did the trick, it game up lovely after much wobbling.

All went back together like a dream, I didn’t even have any pieces left over.

    Works perfectly now.

Thanks – I’m loving your work.

Re: BOSCH Exxcel Express slimline dishwasher SRS45L02GB/13

Obvious crud removed from the injectory shaped outlet at the bottom of the matrix, and picked out similar from the pressure chamber inlet (haven’t removed this bit).

From your advice I will now focus on the matrix, trying to clean the cruddy bit (air lock thingy?) at the top.

Once I have it clean (I’m an optimist) – should I reassemble and test or do you think I should try to remove and clean the pressure chamber (I think this is what it is looking at exploded parts diagrams).

    Thanks, you’ve been really helpful¬!

Ahh. I think this is the overflowing water inlet matrix mentioned!

This is the pic of the part that’s leaking.

The outlet at the top – should that be connected to something?

If not, it seems that the “proper” exit for the water needs clearing?

    What next?

Re: BOSCH Exxcel Express slimline dishwasher SRS45L02GB/13

    Thanks for the quick response.

I have removed the bits (not too bad as I have dismantled this machine and its predecessor a dozen or so times) and can clearly see the water is flowing out of an outlet at the top of a tank. Same tank has gunge in the corner nearby – I’ll post some photos.

PS a cup or two of water came out when I tipped it.

But when filling (still slightly tilted as a piece of wood was under a corner of it) it seemed like much more water was coming out the front.

    Thanks for your good wishes.
I’m not sure how I made it obvious that I didn’t want help, doesn’t this post and my request suggest the opposite? Just in case there’s still uncertainty – I do want help.

    I live in West Yorkshire.

Why the interest in my location, does that make the fridge work differently? Are you a tradesperson touting your services?

Re: MIELE KFN8452 SD Fridge freezer – FRIDGE RUNNING TOO COL

Thanks for the steer – if it was a simple (and non-obvious in case it stopped miele fixing it later) bit to swap I’d spend that much on spec to avoid the ransom!

Living on the edge lol – at the moment switching it off regularly is keeping us limping along. Defrosting all the ice and keeping the area around the light area clear seems to have made slight improvement, but I’m reluctant to leave on overnight in case it freezes my beer.
Will investigate the costs and reflect on it this week.

    Cheers
    D
