Re: Bosch Exxcel SGS43EO2GB/43 Stops During Cycle

    Thanks CJAPeterborough,

Since last post I ran a full cycle and it stopped a couple of times, yet just a flick of the finger against the door by the control panel and it started, so back to square one with that! There are just too many things going on with this machine, so it’s bye bye Bosch! Thanks for all the input.

    Regards,

    Bob

    Thanks CJAPeterborough!

You were correct re the the intensive drying option, so that has put my mind at rest re the quick wash. Re the ‘blob of solder’, I have run 3 washes now all have finished without stopping during cycle, so fingers crossed on that one. Just have to sort out the not emptying problem now.

Today, on a quick wash, at the end I could hear it trying to empty, I could hear a sort of ‘grinding’ sound as if the pump was not functioning properly, not sure. Will clean out all the pipes and things at the side. Let you know what happens.

Thanks so much for the input, I will look into it next week, busy shooting at the weekend(not animals), looks like the DW has earned areprive from the skip! I’d so love to be able to get it going right, suppose a few days of washing up won’t kill us. Hope you keep a look out for me next week.

    Best regards,

Re: Bosch Exxcel SGS43EO2GB/43 Stops During Cycle

    Hi again CJA,

There are only the 4 buttons on the control, Auto 55-65deg, Eco 50deg, Quick 35deg & pre-rinse. I would say the Quick wash temp is as hot as the others, yet the time is less at about 37min. The other washes seem OK temp wise. Well I suppose it gets the dishes cleaner in less time.

Just one other thing (I’m probably throwing too many balls in here, sorry), about my last post. When I said that aftyer applying solder to the pcb the quick wash went OK, actually, it didn’t. It did not empty. When I did a reset (after restarting it) it empties, so that should rule out a blockage? Greatful for any advice.

    Bob

Re: Bosch Exxcel SGS43EO2GB/43 Stops During Cycle

Thanks, I have put a blob on it and run the machine on a quick wash went without stopping but will wait until we try full cycle. One other thing re the quick wash which should be 35deg, it is really hot at the end like a steam bath when you open the door. I don’t think it should be that hot, so maybe there is another problem looming?

    Hi,

Is that the top one of the 2 blobs at the scorched area?

Re: Bosch Exxcel SGS43EO2GB/43 Stops During Cycle

Well, our plumber/electrician was here today for another job, showed him the pcb and he reckons that it is burning at the spot I mentioned. Unfortunately, it looks like the skip for this dishwasher. I will try and sell for spares first though, or even give it away.

Hi, here is a pic of my pcb, I am not sure, but does that look like a small scorch mark in the center, to the right of the 4 holes?

    Once again, advice appreciated.

Re: Bosch Exxcel SGS43EO2GB/43 Stops During Cycle

Thanks for your reply nomadpaul. Machine is well away from socket, it is definately a thump around the area of the pcb, where the program buttons are. The other night I set the timer for 1hr, to come on at 2330hrs, I went down at 0550 and it was still going (on quick cycle 35mins), so it must have switched off and then came back on around 0430hrs. Bizzare! It’s getting close to becoming another recycle statistic which is such a shame. It wouldn’t be so bad if I could sell the bits and pieces rather than scrap the lot. Such a waste of materials.

Re: Bosch Exxcel SGS43EO2GB/43 Stops During Cycle

    Hi once more,

Well, after having another look (in better light), I saw just how easy it is to remove the pcb from the plastic box!
Cant see any signs of burnt out circuits on pcb all looks OK to my untrained eye. Will put it all back together after double checking for loose connections and see what happens. Could this possibly be something simple as the door switch? Any advice greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Bob

Re: Bosch Exxcel SGS43EO2GB/43 Stops During Cycle

    Hello again,

I decided to take the door off and have got to the PCB, however I can’t seem to get it out of the plastic casing, which seems to be on a hinge. Do I need to remove the whole thing from the aluminium frame before opening the plastic casing?, if so any tips on how to do so, one of the flanges has already broken off (brittle).

    Hope someone can help!

    Regards,

Bob (who is washing up by hand tonight!)

Re: Bosch Exxcel SGS43EO2GB/43 Stops During Cycle

Thanks for your input, I intend to have the door cover off and a look at the PCB faulty connection certainly seems likely given that pushing hard aginst the door in that area gets it going again. I will report back in a couple of days.

Re: Bosch Exxcel SGS43EO2GB/43 Stops During Cycle

    Hi again,

Not trying to bump this up but another thing is that on the quick wash 35 deg, which we have been using a lot to clean after a failed main wash (hope that made sense), when I open the door after the wash it seems really too hot for 35deg, lots of steam. Does this point to another problem or could it be PCB causing that?

I really want to sort this as it’s been going on for a long time, so many times I have almost disconnected it all, destination council tip. Yet otherwise it is in first class condition.

Re: Bosch D/washer SGS43E02GB/43 switches off and on?

    Hi,

Well I have not yet removed the outer door casing, as stated I was not sure. The machine worked last night complete from 3 hour time delay. I would say more often though that it usually cuts out. It has cut out during wash when started w/o time delay, have come down (in morning) to find it still has 87 mins, for example, or no lights at all. Open & shut door and it starts again. Looks like it will have to go to repair shop, if I can find one here in rural france!

Re: Bosch D/washer SGS43E02GB/43 switches off and on?

    Hi,

Sorry for the double post, must have been a little trigger happy!

Well, I went to have a go at removing the door panel, but bottled out. I assumed that all I need to do would be to unscrew all the screws around the edge on the inside? Is this correct, or do I need to actually take the door off?

If I do remove the plastic outer casing, will all the controls/buttons etc. fly out? Just after some reassurance here.

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

    Regards,

    Bob
