Kept searching the forums and find that this could be that the machine is not filling in time allowed. It seems to fill ok I can’t find any kinks in the pipe and it fills to about half way up the salt cap. I am still getting the 6 flash error code. Any ideas?

I had a similar problem with a DWF A10 the machine is now fixed. Check my post. Whirlpool DWF10 Not Draining led flashing four times.

Machine now fixed. I dismantled the machine again and found a piece of white plastic in the outlet side of the drainpump. I had been looking at the circulation pump. (doh!!)
Access was really easy. I switched the machine off at mains. Removed the four torx head screws from the panel below the door. Two left two right. The outlet pump is just to the left of the centre of the machine at the front. The pump is removed by turning it half a turn to the left once the clip at the back is released. There was no need to remove the grey outlet hose. Inside the pump was a piece of plastic. At this point I could easily have cleaned all the outlet side of the machine or run water through the outlet hose with a hose pipe if it had been blocked. I could also have replaced the pump if it was broken. Access would have been even easier if I had pulled machine out and laid it on its back. The bottom can be removed too by undoing the two screws at the front on the bottom and sliding the base up off the two plastic pins. Do not remove any screws from the inside compartment of the machine. This will not help and may damage the seals etc.
I hope this helps anybody else with this problem.
