    Now, I only have the burnt out control board to deal with … Or just go for hardwiring it to always on; replacement PCB might not be worth the money considering I could probably get a complete working cooker for free from Freecycle or somesuch …

    Update: Fan motor confirmed as U/S. I plugged it in, there was a nice big BANG, and that’s that I think!

    However this did give me the oppo to disassemble the fan assy and find the OEM of the fan unit, plus a date, so I now know the cooker was made in the mid 1980s and is about 23 years old …

    The fan assembly is made by S.T.C COMPONENTS and is datestamped 8 MAY 1985. On the motor, we have:

    240V. 50 HZ
    STC10A-030.135

    In turn, the motor itself is made by Mycalex Motors UK.

    Hopefully a bit of Googling will at least find me a replacement fan assy…
