    Re: Miele Dishwasher HELP please!!

Hello. To detect the problem in your Miele dishwasher is follow the instructions:

1-make sure the door is closed and the programme selector is on the Stop position

2-Push and maintan pushed the Top solo button while you switch on the machine. maintain the Top solo button pressed for a second then release it and quickly push it two times. The led “on” will light and the “wash” and “dry” leds will blink. if this doesn’t happens then restart from point 1.

3-Turn the programme selector clockwise to the first programme.

    4-Push Top solo button

5-Turn the programme selector clockwise until the led Top solo lights up.

If it blinks in the first position (F0) then you have no faults (which is not likely to be…)
If it blinks in the second position (F1) You might have a problem with the NTC bulb (the sensor that measures water temperature) or its connections (connection opened).
If it blinks in the third position (F2) The problem can be in NTC bulb shorted or shorted connections.
If it blinks in the fourth position (F3) the pulse counter is wrong
If it blinks in the fifth position (f4) you have a problem with the heating element and/or its connections
If it blinks in the sixth position you have a problem connected with the water inlet or the heat element controlling pressure switch.
If it blinks in the nineth position then you have a problem with the drain or with the above pressure switch.

To clear the error you just have to set the programme selector to Stop and switch off the machine.

I hope all this will help you!
    All the best
    Marco

Re: Miele W4144WPS vs ISE Machine

Hello Everybody! The Miele W 4144 has the drum and the outer drum in stainless steel with iron counterbalances. All Miele machines have the stainless drum assembly. The ones having the outer drum made by fiberglass (not plastic) are the two giant sized machines made for the U.S. market. I have the W 4446 and I’m really very happy with it.

Hi Andrea (incidentally the italian guy who had problems with the honeycomb drum is named Andrea too… ),
I don’t exactly know what trainers are but I think you should pay a careful inspection to the drum of your washer. If everything appears to be normal then you should address yourself to Miele representatives in your country. If they are only the half supportive of people of Miele Italia then you should solve your problems quickly and satisfactorily. That’s for sure.

Re: Miele honeycomb drum: does it damage cotton clothes?

Oh, yes, a batch of defective drums is always possible although I had the pleasure to talk with one of the people who claimed having problems with clothes (in that case they were towels) and he told me that Miele changed the drum of his machine. I think the problem might reside in the choice of wash program/temperature unadapt to textiles being washed. My question is, can a particularly strong wash rythm damage good quality cotton bath towels? I don’t think so ❓

Re: Miele honeycomb drum: does it damage cotton clothes?

I never heard anything like the honeycomb damaging clothes. I have four Miele washing machines with honeycomb drum and no one of them damaged anything. I use to wash all my shirts with the cotton program at 40°C and anything came out damaged. I also wash underwear with this program and I use to spin everything at maximum spin (1800 rpm on my W 487 Softtronic). I never had a problem of wear of laundry.
I don’t understand how a completely smooth drum surface can be responsible for damage to clothes. In my opinion there must be a problem with the drum i.e. damaged holes resulting from having washed sharp metallic objects with the laundry (pins, screws etc) or a misuse of the machine (use of incorrect washing programme/temperature or unappropriate detergent which seems to be a common fact amongst washmaniacs… 😛
