Thanks to you both and understand the feelings around the charities. My wife is insulin dependent diabetic so will give them an extra tenner next month.
Thanks again,Mark .Y.

Well, thanks to Martin and Dave, my dishwasher is now working again.
Have to be honest and say I’m not sure exactly what was wrong but I took the aquastop valve off – it seemed OK, put it back on and now it is fine.Wouldn’t it be a good idea for this site to have a nominated charity. I’m sure I’m not alone in saying I would be happy to make a small donation as a gesture of thanks for people’s time.

OK, so did all that and owe you one…… pump did work and then after further investigation I found a large piece of rubbish within it.
However, the second part of my problem is the machine is not filling up – I guess this means the “aquastop” valve might be u/s ??
Is there any maintenance that can be done on them as they are quite expensive as far as I can see.
Thanks,
Mark .Y.

I have tried that mate, there doesn’t seem to be anything stuck there. Impeller spins freely, I frigged the door catch so I could see inside the machine and put it on a rinse wash, I believe the drain pump should have cut in for a short time at the very beginning of the programme but it didn’t move hence I think it is not working properly.
Thanks for your reply,Mark .Y.
