just had advice from someone on ebay, yes your right there is a thermal overload cutout sited inside the back case of the motor,
you can check if this is blown but doing a continuity test on the 6 elec conectors on side of the motor.
they are sited in pairs 1&2 3&4 5&6, tested fine on both outside pairs but middle 3&4 gave no reading so TOC was blown, took motor apart to check and this was the case so ordered second hand tested motor with new bushes on ebay for 80 pounds and free postage.
was told by ebay guy that often people blame pcb board behind control panel (this was also told to me by local supplier) and when replacement PCB doesnt work they complain about it also being broken when often it is motor.
so try test as above and ill post when motor fitted in couple of days to confirm.
