Hi Don, thanks for your reply. I guess I was more asking if they honour their warranty or try to deflect it as a user failure? The AEG had 2 buckled hinges(fancy scissor mechanism) and a slit in the water pump pipe. Simple repair except they bond one end of the pipe to the water pump so you are forced to change that too. Very cynical & I won’t be buying AEG again for that.

Re: Disconnect / connect gas cooker

I’m fitting a kitchen in my wife’s old flat (joys of being married…). At the moment, it has a free standing gas cooker, connected by a flexible hose with a bayonet connection. I want to fit a built-in electric oven & hob.

Am I right in thinking I can just disconnect the gas hose & the valve will seal & can be left that way?
