    Re: Electrolux ESL63010 not heating

I have removed the relay and tested on the bench, upon energising the coil with a 12v supply there is an audible click and I have tested continuity to be as expected.

Having now eliminated the heating element and the relay, what would be the next likely cause. Am assuming there must be some temperature sensors somewhere in the system? Could it still be another component on the control PCB?

    Re: Electrolux ESL63010 not heating

Having spotted another thread about faulty control boards, I’ve just disassembled the front panel and extracted the controller, I did check this once before for obvious signs of damage but there where none, I’ve now reexamined and can see some scorch marks on the casing in the area of the relay, they also appear to radiate down the tracks that route to the mains connection. Is this a sign of something more terminal than just a relay failure?

Can I test the relay in situ or will I need to desolder?

Right So I’ve had another go and I suspect my mistake first time round was that the multi meter was on 200k rather than 200, a second measure has given me a reading of about 28Ohms.

I had wondered that after sending the message. It’s in a fairly inaccessible location so I might not have been correctly aligned.

Will have it out and try to get another measurement.
