Hi, sorry, I think I understand now… There will be a remote socket above the work top (which is fine) but also a cable plate on the wall behind the machine (which may have blown)? I’ll pull out the machine and have a check at some point after Christmas and post back then. Thanks for your help.

Ahhh Torx fixings… If I’d know that I could have asked santa bring me a set of drivers!!!

I read some of the other posts about the circulation motor leaking and what you say about the water blowing the computer makes sense. So is it likely that I will have a burnt out cable plate and a blown computer and also I’ll need to replace the faulty circulation motor?

I suppose you do get what you pay for, but I expected even a cheap dishwasher to last more than 10 cycles!!!

If I get the machine out and there’s water in the tray I take it that means there’s is a leak caused by the circulation motor? Also, will it be pretty obvious if the cable plate has blown?

Is this looking like it may be wiser to get a new (better) machine?

    Cheers,

    D.

Hi Penguin, The dishwater is built in, so can’t pull it out or lean it back. Would water in the tray underneath cause the machine to ‘power off’? When I take the kick-board off to reveal the bottom metal plate of the machine it is fixed with strangely shaped screws so can’t undo them (not flat or +). Is there any way that I’d be able to see if there was water in the tray underneath (there’s no leaks on the floor btw).

Hi Simon, Yeah. It’s not a ‘normal’ plug, but a remote socket. Power is fine at that (red light is on) and fuse is fine. I think the power supply is all okay (my mate is an electrician and he checked the power the last time this happened).
