It may or may not be of interest, or it could be that I like to talk to myself..who knows.
Anyway the problem was, according to an engineer, that the tacho was faulty in the motor. He said that it there was no point in replacing the tacho as you would have to dismatle the motor and that would be just too fiddly. He suggested to replace the motor.
However, try as I might I cannot get a part number for it.
So I gave up and bought another.
