I have also just fixed my W524 thanks to Dave. I was doubtful that I’d be able to take it apart, and almost certain that I wouldn’t manage to fix and put it back together, so I ordered a new Miele before I started. I can cancel that now. Thank you, Dave. This is what the internet is best at!
