Not tested yet, but the other half has ordered a new machine SMEG WMI12C7 Integrated Washing Machine so its a bye bye to the old one.
Would still like to know what the problem was.
Other forum advice is the tacho or the pcb either of which is a £200+ bill added to the £70 already spent so common sense is a new machine, yes?
Will try testing over weekend and post results anyway.

Oh yes my neighbour said last time i used washer it was very noisy(more than usual)

I am fairly up with most diy and own a meter but dont understand?
Can you explain in simpler terms please( sorry am now 54 and things dont get remembered like they used to be )
