    Thanks – both of you for your advice – I feel suitably reassured and am very glad that I don’t need to buy a new fridge! 😀

    We have cleaned the fridge really thoroughly. The smell is coming from the water that is coming from the back of the fridge. If it is the drain that is blocked does anyone know the best way to unblock it?
