    Thanks for your reply andyjawa. I’m glad to report that a few days ago I finally found the problem: it was the freezer thermal fuse part 00172296 .. or rather one of its 2 wires was broken/disconnected, and only when I tried to unplug it to test it, I realized the wire was loose. So I just soldered the broken part and that’s it. This fridge was driving me nuts.
