Local engineer said motor had a ticking noise the PCB was the prob and he didn’t want to touch it.
Cut your losses and buy a new machine offered me a BOSCH basic WAA28160 but its only 5kg adn probably a Spanish model
I am loathed to chuck teh machine it has a hefty metal door seals still good….
    Any suggestions

Re: AEG 88730 update C7 fault code

He said (over the phone) that the CP had most likely gone and said junk it. I’ll try adn get someone to have a look at it.
Why would machine start filling after rinse cycles?
    Thanks

    hi No is 91400209800
I really appreciate your help. I phoned a local repairer and he said sounds like (£165) control panel which has gone before (under guarantee that time)
the drain pump sounds dreadful and was set to replace (you dont have the part otherwise would have ordered through you guys) but even though I am not expert why should pump effect refilling after spinning and stopping before rinsing as it did after i cleared fault code. Also heating rinsing water sounds well dodgy.

    Thanks very much

Heres copy of e mail I sent to AEG I bought AEG because of low water and electricity consumption and 1800 spin speed. I bought the above trusting it would be a reliable performer that would last for years. – great in theory wrong in practice!
5.75 years of modest use approx 4 times a week. It almost straight away needed repair
New plastic dispenser at top of machine took two repairs and much grief
Drain pump motor replaced. Another time cleaned out by myself
    Carbon brushes replaced
    Control Panel replaced
Door plug came out twice once had to call engineer second time I repaired.
Is this unusual for one of your machines.

Very disappointing. Now I have C7 error. Prior to error code it has been refilling at end of final spin on cottons/linen and heating rinse water. Other times not completing programme – just stopping prior to possibly during rinse cycle.
