ParticipantRe: Service management software
For service management software, you would do well to consider using Mercury Systems from Hatchgate Software. I have been using this software for many years, and it has been working extremely well for my business. We also use the integrated stock control system, and the mobile app for our engineers. New features are added constantly to the software. Paul the owner of Hatchgate will be attending the WTA conference on 26th Feb so you could always see the software then and ask any questions you have. From what I understand there will be quite a few other Hatchgate customers at the conference.

ParticipantRe: Whirlpool to do a recall on Hotpoint dryers
Just spoken to my friendly local engineer & he tells me if they go to a call for a washing machine or cooker etc & there is a ind/hpt tumble dryer in the property they ignore it. Apparently the new guys they are taken on are doing nothing but tumble dryers. Micheal

Just got from Indesit engineer who’s doing them. Involves new back with new fire retardent seal & drilling hole in back off drum & fixing rivet to apparently scrape of fluff from seal to reduce risk off combustion. Personally never seen one catch fire. Micheal

Have to agree with Martin & Aqualectric as the belts are different profile. Anyone found a fix for the later version drum which has the non replaceable bearing shaft, seeing lots and having to buy new drums.Mk
