    Position the dial at 90 degrees and pressing the start button turn on the machine..Let me know which lights are on and which are off??

    Remove the side cover. Try running it,without the side cover. I had a similar scenario somewhere else. That noise is usually from the jockey wheel(big black pulley around which the belt rotates). Usually the friction to the movement of the pulley causes the motor to come across huge resistance and it trips the electrics. To be sure try undoing the belt and run the machine without rotating the drum(take off the belt from the pulley) and if it doesnt trips the electrics then most likely thats the cause.
