Think that is correct Dave, the code E31 when looked up on Siemens site says “A fault has occurred in the dishwasher’s drying system, resulting in the water not heating up during operation and the dishwasher not drying. Your dishwasher might need repairing. To book a repair please call Siemens customer service on 0344 892 8999 and choose option one, or you can book online. It has this Zeolith drying thing on it. I’ve removed the heater element and it’s like a tumble dryer element with the heater coils on it. Even though there are rubber “o” rings sealing it, it’s fairly damp and grimy in there. The compartment of the drying system where it sits is also damp.. my thoughts are it would have to be completely dry in there.. I’ll try and attach photos on here and let you have a look. Also I’ve checked across terminals and I’ve still got continuity. Bit of an expensive gamble for £105..

    Cheers Dave,

Also looked on Siemens page and found exploded view parts diagram. On there (item no 0470 ) it has a heating element as well as the heat pump. I though that it was the motor/heater pump combined thing.. Is it worth looking to find and check that for continuity ??

    Scott..

    UPDATE……
Fitted the new jug impellor and that’s fixed the top arm not rotating, thanks..
The original problem still exists though, it won’t finish the cycle and still pulses with all lights going out for half a second.
I have noticed another funny going on with this machine that’s going to be launched into a skip very soon!!.
It will only heat up if the door is opened after its filled up…
If the door isn’t opened, it won’t heat up, open the door after heating and it will heat up fine…
I’ve taken the pcb out once more and looked closer but still haven’t found anything looking remotely burned or dry…
Don’t think I want to be spending another £80+ on trying a pcb…
Will get one if it cures the fault though… wish I could find a cheap 2nd hand one..
    Any thoughts…

    Re: Bosch classixx maxx diswasher

Had another quick look this morning and also noticed that the upper spray arm wasn’t turning.
Stopped the machine and added water manually and the arm was working again.
Looking at other posts this is possibly caused by not enough water entering the machine during filling…
It did however “do the pulsing thing” after wash cycle still.
The inlet valve and filter look OK, is there any way of testing it and also the jug impellor as suggested above…
    Once again, thanks in advance..
