    Re: Electrolux Powerlite 1800W DEAD

    It isn’t ‘1’.
For ‘2’, when I suggested fitting a new motor my better half laughed!
    ‘3’ sounds terminal.

Thanks for your feedback but it looks like I’ll be investing in a new one!

    Recommendations welcome (cylinder version).

    Re: Indesit WE14 washing machine

It turned out to be the motor. 🙁

I opted for the Indesit £100 charge route as I plan to move house this year so do not want to buy a replacement machine in the meantime.

    Thanks for the advice. 😉
    Vic.

    Re: Indesit WE14 washing machine

    Hi.
    Thanks for the feedback.

However, it may not be the motor as, after taking some of the (very soggy) clothing out in case the machine was overloaded, I tried the 14 minute spin cycle again.

After three minutes of pumping, the drum span relatively slowly for a couple of minutes followed by a short break and then appeared to try to engage a spin again only to get the ‘hum’ of the motor but no spinning drum.

Does this still point to a motor problem or could it be something else?

    Cheers,
    Vic.

    There are no obvious problems..

Well the fact is Vic that it suggests the fan element is duff and without a model number or serial number to work on we are up the creek so to speak! 😕

Have a look at the Fan Oven Elements in our shop and see if you can recognise it from the photos?

    But hey! 💡

Why not choose a local expert from the list below for a local engineer to check, test and sort out your problem….BRILLIANT…go for it!! 8)

    Thanks Martin.

I found the model number: AKP511 so your url suggests part number ELE3355.

Is it simply a case of unscrewing the old element and screwing in the new?

Is the thermostat definitely discounted as the problem? Why?

    Thanks again for your help.
    Vic.

    Re: Whirlpool (built in)

Thanks for the advice Greg, that’s pretty much the level that the water comes up to.
Sounds like it is time to go for a newer model! 😥

    Re: Whirlpool (built in)

Not particularly, no. I would say 3 or 4 times during the cycle.
FYI, it doesn’t do anything else during the cycle except dispense the dishwasher tablet.

    Cheers,
    Vic.

    Re: Whirlpool (built in)

    Hi.

No ‘/’ before the WH but I have found two 12 digit codes on another label next to barcodes. The first reads SERVICE 8542 239 15450 and the second 33 9521 003840.

Thanks for going to the trouble to ask.
    Vic.

    Re: Whirlpool (built in)

    Thanks for your inputs.

The label is indeed on the edge of the inside door. Unfortunately, the edge that I can not get to! However, with the aid of a compact mirror, I think that the model number is ADP 239 WH, TYP:NA 1/2.

    Hope this helps.
