    Actually just stumbled over a 2nd Miele that is only a few months old that is local to me. Does anyone know if the 8 year extended warranties are transferable? Also the initial 2 year one?

    Had looked at that already but at £770 the 5740 the miele was already a stretch. Shame as I like the general ethos of the ISE.

    Pretty sure it wad ordered on Next account. Thanks for info anyway.
    Now need to decide whether to fork out for the Miele 5740 with 10 yr warranty or the cheaper 3204 (i think that was the model) which seems nearly as good but has 5 year warranty and slightly smaller load size.

    Thanks very much for the response. I will have look into it and may approach the retailer first, before paying up for an engineers report.
